The Team |

Well this is something about us. Team Rural Chic consists of Simon (Mendus) and Ru (Fitzhugh). We are both graduates, me from Bristol UWE in Engineering, and Ru from Bristol University in Archaeology. |

I have only just finished University so I am still suffering from the shock of having to get a job. I feel this merry jaunt may well be the ideal way to ease me into working life slowly, as after 3 months of work I get to screw around once again by trying to drive to the Gambia. I think reputation (good or bad I’m not to sure) has dictated that I am the ‘mechanic’ of the two. I therefore shall hopefully be able to keep the car moving at some kind of speed to at least Northern France…. and maybe further if I’m pushed. |

Ru is a different matter, he has been working long enough to realise that University is but a distant memory that we should have appreciated far more when had the time, so now he works for a large company in the city and has been a graduate for (I think) 2 or 3 years. Rather than the mechanics he is going to be in charge of moral boosting material (namely alcohol and music) as well as overall help and support. In reality I’m sure we will both be doing very similar things such as getting lost, breaking down and both trying desperately to fix the car! The Fun awaits! |
